About Martin Miller
Martin trained as a photographer at Brighton College of Art. After a year of photographing screaming children and tedious weddings he decided that photography was not his true vocation.
His interest in antiques came through furnishing his first flat in Worthing and he was surprised to find that there were no price guides to antiques being published at that time. And so, he decided to publish the world's first illustrated antiques guide,The Lyle's Antiques Guide in 1969.
This was then followed, in 1979, by the publication of the Miller's Price Antiques Guide, which quickly became the world's best selling authority on antiques.
Martin has always been involved in the restoration of period and historic properties and country house hotels, and six years ago he created the award winning Martin Miller's gin. The Association should provide Hotels, Inns & Hideaways with a stamp of quality and approval. For the first time the association aims to provide you with a comprehensive listing of all the best historic Hotels, Inns & Hideaways Britain has to offer. Enjoy your visit.
